Uttarakhand's Patwari/Lekhpal exam of 8 January 2023 was cancelled after the STF found the paper had been leaked to candidates before the exam. A section officer of the commission and three others, including his wife, were arrested and Rs 22.5 lakh was recovered. The re-exam was held on 12 February 2023 for about 1.4 lakh candidates. This was the state's second leak episode in months, after the UKSSSC cases moved exams to UKPSC.
