Rajasthan's 2021 SI recruitment exam was leaked from a Jaipur centre, with the paper sold for about Rs 20 lakh. The fraud surfaced in March 2024 when the SOG detained 15 trainee sub-inspectors — including the exam topper — at the Rajasthan Police Academy; the probe estimated about 25 of 670 trainees had cleared the exam fraudulently. On 28 August 2025 the High Court cancelled the entire recruitment ('fraud vitiates everything'); a division bench upheld the cancellation on 4 April 2026 and directed a new legal framework for transparent recruitment.
