Maharashtra TET 2019-20 — exam council head arrested
Confidence B — core facts citable to court or official records; some primary documents not yet on file.
Pune cyber police, working outward from the MHADA exam case, arrested the commissioner of the Maharashtra State Council of Examination in December 2021 for malpractice in TET 2019-20, followed by a former commissioner and the manager of the company contracted to conduct the exam. Investigators also found 2018 answer sheets of about 500 failed candidates had been re-scanned with forged marks. Thousands of candidates who paid for passes were later struck off the qualified lists.
