JKSSB SI exam: selection list scrapped; CBI chargesheeted 33
Confidence C — based on the press record (archived below). No primary documents on file yet; treat names of agencies, dates and figures as reported, not established.
After the J&K sub-inspector exam of 27 March 2022, aspirants alleged the paper had been sold for Rs 15–30 lakh by a Haryana-linked gang. The administration scrapped the select list of 1,200 SIs (along with JE and FAA lists) in July 2022 and handed the case to the CBI, which charge-sheeted 33 accused on 12 November 2022, including board insiders and touts. The ED later arrested alleged organisers in a linked money-laundering case (2024). The exam was re-conducted in December 2022.
