A handwritten copy of the HSLC General Science (C3) paper went viral the night before the 13 March 2023 exam, forcing SEBA to cancel it. CID took over; 22 people were detained from Guwahati, North Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Sadiya, Dibrugarh and Tinsukia within a day (arrests later rose), and two senior board officials were questioned. The paper was re-conducted on 30 March 2023.
